The Skagen home design showcases the popular style of a popped up central roofline, which adds interesting detail to the otherwise single pitch.
The slightly higher clerestory windows in this central area are heroed and are further enhanced with the engineered VG pine timber cladding which has been painted in a dark colour. This contrasts well with the lighter aluminium cladding on the bedroom wings and joinery. The dark pergola and louvres add further interest to the front of the home and harmonise the colour scheme.
With a master suite on one side and two bedrooms on the other, the design eliminates the need for passages and cleverly maximises all space into the central living area.
Two skylights are included in this design; one in the kitchen and one in the master bathroom to bring in additional natural light.
The kitchen is also centrally placed and forms the heart of this home. The front door entry which could also be used as the connection for an internally accessed garage, is opposite the large sliding doors which open onto the deck from the living and dining areas.
