Daryl started Ecotectural Home Builders nearly 20 years ago; a business focused on designing and building high-end, energy-efficient, and architecturally designed homes in the Nelson/Tasman region. Daryl has a passion for delivering top quality builds that provide lasting, sustainable results.
Although growing up in the area, Michael spent 20 years working abroad in both the UK and Australia, gaining extensive knowledge managing large commercial construction companies, and specialising in high-end apartment buildings, office complexes, luxury homes, townhouses, and renovation projects.
Daryl and Michael went to school together, but lost touch until Michael moved back to NZ in 2024 – the rest is history. More recently, the boys set up ‘Really Good Builders’ to differentiate their Lockwood operation from the Ecotectural Homes business. They believe the Lockwood brand supports their passion for high quality and sustainability.
