Father and son duo, Martin and Michael Whyte, are true locals to the region both being Nelsonian born and bred.
Martin and has been involved in the building trade for over 40 years, many of these years running his own joinery business, with his satisfied client list testimony to his craftmanship and abilities. Martin has spent much of this time working alongside the previous Lockwood Nelson Contractors completing many beautiful kitchens and other specialised carpentry work.
His son Michael, a Licensed Building Practitioner has honed his skills working with previous Lockwood Contractors in the area for over 15 years.
Martin and Michael took over this region from Andrew La Grouw in 2016, grandson of the founder of Lockwood and current Managing Director of Lockwood Group.

Martin Whyte is a well known face in the area. He is a Nelsonian born and bred and has been involved in the building trade for over 40 years. Martin been running his own joinery business for 34 years and has recently taken over the Lockwood Nelson franchise
Michael Whyte - Director
Michael has been building Lockwood Homes for 12 years in the Nelson district. As part of the build team he's been responsible for some stunning Lockwood builds in the region. Michael is a registered builder who has recently built a Lockwood 'Te Rakau' home for himself in Stoke.
