Winner of the Lockwood New Zealand Aria, Emmanuel Fonoti-Fuimaono, has continued to achieve success by securing the prestigious Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship. Emmanuel’s victory at the Lockwood NZ Aria gave him the necessary funding to enter the Sydney Eisteddfod competition. He submitted a recorded audition and was selected as a semi-finalist. He travelled to Australia to participate in the semi-finals, ultimately emerging as one of the five finalists.
Now celebrating its 90th year, the Sydney Eisteddfod has long been a nurturing ground for emerging performers, providing life-changing opportunities to young artists across various disciplines. The event presents a range of esteemed scholarships that serve as launching pads for aspiring performers to embark on their chosen artistic careers.
